No time to do a full screencaps summary post this week. With the way my computer's been going, I don't think I'd get more than a third of the way through the episode without it crashing anyway.

I do have a few caps though. Mostly of Kuchiki Kouga, Muramasa's master.

Kouga now. Fucking ugly bastard, ain't he?

Is it just me, or does Muramasa look like he's about to come in his underwear?

Ginrei and Kouga together. Kouga seems rather polite, always referring to Ginrei as 'Ginrei-dono'.

Kouga prepares to deal with a problem. I'm not sure why the Shinigami were fighting with each other, why Ginrei seems to have sent Kouga to deal with them or why they attack him. Muramasa's release command sounds like 'Sasawake'. I could be mistaken though. His power seems to force zanpakutou, and the hands and arms holding them, to move independently of their wielder's will.

Not for the first time this arc, I'm reminded of Code Geass. Specifically the way that Lelouch would sometimes use his powers to make enemies kill themselves with their own weapons.

He dresses rather unusually. I'm pretty certain someone referred to him the Third Seat at one point, which could explain it. Higher ranks do seem to have more freedom in the way they dress.

A close shot of Kouga, showing that partial kenseikan in his hair. He really doesn't look like any Kuchiki we've seen so far, but as we've only seen Ginrei, Byakuya, Rukia and Hisana (and the latter two aren't Kuchiki by birth anyway), I suppose we don't have much to go on.

A shot of Kouga's inner world. I wonder if all Shinigami have fucking weird places in their heads, or if some of them actual manage to have inner worlds that somewhat resemble ordinary places.

Kouga prepares to release again. Although the command has changed. 'Mukojoji' is what I make it out as. It's definitely not the same as before.

Muramasa appears this time though. Maybe Muramasa is like Suzumushi, in that he has several different attacks?

A theory supported by him calling these... things from the zanpakutou of Kouga's attackers.

Kouga is betrayed... I think. He goes willingly, handing over his zanpakutou without a fight, when Ginrei orders him to.

They're taken more precautions with Kouga's restraint than they did with Renji, Hinamori and Kira in the Soul Society arc. Why is that?

Not that it's any use, in the end.

Now he seems pissed off. Can't say I blame him, if he was indeed betrayed.

Apparently he's not as pleased to see Muramasa as Muramasa is him.

There's a new title up on Wikipedia.

Discussion time, everyone?

I finally approve of this arc! It took so long for something to happen, but I suppose that was the point. I would love if Kouga killed Lelouche Muramasa himself. It was nice having an almost Ichigo-less episode.

The woman in the shadows, could that be Byakkun's mother?

Also, the omake was brilliant. That is all.
