No time to do a full screencaps summary post this week. With the way my computer's been going, I don't think I'd get more than a third of the way through the episode without it crashing anyway.

I do have a few caps though. Mostly of Kuchiki Kouga, Muramasa's master.

Kouga now. Fucking ugly bastard, ain't he?

Is it just me, or does Muramasa look like he's about to come in his underwear?

Ginrei and Kouga together. Kouga seems rather polite, always referring to Ginrei as 'Ginrei-dono'.

Kouga prepares to deal with a problem. I'm not sure why the Shinigami were fighting with each other, why Ginrei seems to have sent Kouga to deal with them or why they attack him. Muramasa's release command sounds like 'Sasawake'. I could be mistaken though. His power seems to force zanpakutou, and the hands and arms holding them, to move independently of their wielder's will.

Not for the first time this arc, I'm reminded of Code Geass. Specifically the way that Lelouch would sometimes use his powers to make enemies kill themselves with their own weapons.

He dresses rather unusually. I'm pretty certain someone referred to him the Third Seat at one point, which could explain it. Higher ranks do seem to have more freedom in the way they dress.

A close shot of Kouga, showing that partial kenseikan in his hair. He really doesn't look like any Kuchiki we've seen so far, but as we've only seen Ginrei, Byakuya, Rukia and Hisana (and the latter two aren't Kuchiki by birth anyway), I suppose we don't have much to go on.

A shot of Kouga's inner world. I wonder if all Shinigami have fucking weird places in their heads, or if some of them actual manage to have inner worlds that somewhat resemble ordinary places.

Kouga prepares to release again. Although the command has changed. 'Mukojoji' is what I make it out as. It's definitely not the same as before.

Muramasa appears this time though. Maybe Muramasa is like Suzumushi, in that he has several different attacks?

A theory supported by him calling these... things from the zanpakutou of Kouga's attackers.

Kouga is betrayed... I think. He goes willingly, handing over his zanpakutou without a fight, when Ginrei orders him to.

They're taken more precautions with Kouga's restraint than they did with Renji, Hinamori and Kira in the Soul Society arc. Why is that?

Not that it's any use, in the end.

Now he seems pissed off. Can't say I blame him, if he was indeed betrayed.

Apparently he's not as pleased to see Muramasa as Muramasa is him.

There's a new title up on Wikipedia.

Go on :D This arc is a hell of a lot more interesting than some filler I could name. *casts dark glances at Naruto*

OMG TRUE.
I was watching this arc just thinking "cool!" the whole time.
Its interesting seeing how their zanpakuto's are

This is Bleach, right? Why am I seeing ninjas and things that remind me terribly of Naruto?
Wednesday, December 16th, 2009 01:22 am (UTC)
Ninjas = Soi Fon = 2nd squad? :3
Wednesday, December 16th, 2009 02:25 am (UTC)
Oh... duh.

*should probably start watching the fillers*

This is a good episode. I enjoyed watching it. Kouga was an interesting character. I wonder if this is will somehow end up in manga canon?

Who is the woman in the shadows? Is that Ginrei's daughter?
Wednesday, December 16th, 2009 05:16 am (UTC)
I think so, since she's the only one who talk about Kouga in the Kuchiki family, I think we can assume that she's Kouga's wife ( and Byakuya's great-aunt??)

... I'm sorry, please excuse me while I laughing at Kouga's clothes.

Now we know where Muramasa's gayness tendency comes from.

So this episode is more focused on flashbacks? *is going to wait for the subbed version*

I finally approve of this arc! It took so long for something to happen, but I suppose that was the point. I would love if Kouga killed Lelouche Muramasa himself. It was nice having an almost Ichigo-less episode.

The woman in the shadows, could that be Byakkun's mother?

Also, the omake was brilliant. That is all.

Actually, I wonder if maybe he's defeating Muramasa as a means to ensure he controls him...kinda like Ichigo had to do to get his Bankai, and like they all have to do to regain control of their zampakuto's.

I think the woman was Byakuya's mother...at least that would make the most sense...since she was so concerned about Kouga.

Of course, that would mean, technically speaking, she'd have to have been pregnant with Byakun when we saw her...

Do they even get pregnant in Soul society? That's something I've been wondering XD (sorry for the random thought tangent)

Is it just me, or does Muramasa look like he's about to come in his underwear? >> LOL TRUEFAX!!

OMG this entire episode was SO SO ghei, I don't even...

Muramasa's reaction to Kouga make me uncomfortable...
I like this episode... we learned several things. first kouga's realted to the kuchiki( byakuya's priiiiiiiiiiide)
then. we know what scarf Ichigo will wear when he marry Rukia!
then, muramusa is alone in his thing, but I saw Kougas stabbing him coming, really...
second, Kouga's prettiness is gone
then, I really don't think that the woman in the shadow is Byakuya's mother (it'll be too much if Byakuya's actually Kouga's son) I think it may be his great aunt or something
however, I don't think the rebellion is over(come'on kouga's been framed, he won't forgive SS that easily), I just think that kouga's don't want to be controlled by Lelouch muramasa

we know what scarf Ichigo will wear when he marry Rukia!

muhuhuhuh! :D I can just see Ichigo's face when he's presented with it and told that he has to wear it!

At first, I though Kouga wore a pink flower...

I wonder why Kouga wears a kenseiken? The sub says that he married in, which makes sense. In larger older houses, all male that marries into the family changes their name to ensure that the lineage continues. Especially, if there are only girls. I believe that Byakuya hasn't betrayed Seireitei, but is acting under the command of sou-taisho.

hmmmm, just wondering whether kouga's zan is useless against hollow... since it seems muramasa's ability is to manipulate others zanpakutou...

CMIIW ^^
Wednesday, December 16th, 2009 07:20 pm (UTC)
Good point. Isn't it that the whole point of shinigami is to fight hollow?
Wednesday, December 16th, 2009 07:53 pm (UTC)
His shikai effect would be useless on them, yeah. But I don't think it's necessary to release against a Hollow unless they're too strong otherwise.

Wonder how it would work on an Arrancar...
