Step 1: Put your MP3 player or whatever on random.
Step 2: Post the first line from the first 30 songs that play, no matter how embarrassing the song (unless ridiculously obscure)
Step 3: Post and let everyone you know guess what song and artist the lines come from.
Step 4: Strike through when someone gets them right
Step 5: Looking them up on Google or any other search engine is CHEATING!
I had to actually sort out my playlist for this, since a ridiculously large portion of my music is either instrumental or Japanese. The former has no lyrics, the latter I can't understand to type lyrics out for.
1) Say your prayers little one
2) Out here in the fields
3) Welcome to where time stands still
4) Buddy you're a boy
5) As a young boy chasing Dragons with your wooden sword so mighty
6) Wake up in the morning and I raise my weary head
7) Sitting here wasted and wounded at this old piano
8) When I look into your eyes I can see the love restrained
9) Through early morning fog I see
10) Another red letter day
11) Another gun for hire and just another day
12) Attitude is my addiction
13) Is this the real life
14) Just the good Ol' boys
15) She's got a smile that it seems to me
16) Do you remember a guy that's been
17) It was Christmas Evening in the drunk tank
18) Been a long road to follow
19) Guess who just got back today
20) Give it to me baby. Uh-huh. Uh-huh.
21) Kill for gain or shoot to maim
22) It's just one of those days where you don't wanna wake up
23) An old cowpoke went riding out one dark and windy day
24) When the day is long and the night, the night is yours alone,
25) While the sun hangs in the sky and the desert has sand
26) Are you a man of peace or man of holy war
27) Baby we can talk all night
28) Look into my eyes and you will see
29) Die Nacht öffnet ihren Schoß
30) Well I remember every little thing as if it happened only yesterday

15: Guns 'N Roses' "Sweet Child O' Mine".
30: Meatloaf's "Paradise by the Dashboard Light". (Very similar to Jim Steinman's monologue "Love and Death and an American Guitar", which also rocks, but I recognised which one it was.)
Maybe I should do this one again. I did it once ages ago and only got about three correct guesses in total.
